Supplier rules and restrictions

Such deposit is unrelated to any payment received by Hotel Express International for your hotel booking. You acknowledge that some third-party providers offering certain services and/or activities may require you to sign their liability waiver prior to participating in the service and/or activity they offer. You understand that any violation of any such supplier's rules and restrictions may result in cancellation of your reservation(s), in your being denied access to the applicable travel product or services, in your forfeiting any monies paid for such reservation(s), and/or in our debiting your account for any costs we incur as a result of such violation.

Financial, Legal and Other Advice Disclaimer

You acknowledge that the Hotel Express International pre-negotiate certain room rates with hotel suppliers to facilitate the booking of reservations on your behalf. The room rate displayed on the Website is a combination of the pre-negotiated room rate for rooms reserved on your behalf by Hotel Express International and the facilitation fee retained by the Hotel Express International for their services. Unless your voucher covers entire amount, you will see a price next to each hotel room (upgrade price). This will be the price to pay to Hotel Express International and your voucher value is already deducted.

You authorize Hotel Express International to book reservations for the total reservation price, which includes the room rate displayed on the Website, plus tax recovery charges, service fees, and where applicable, taxes on the Hotel Express International website. You agree that your credit card will be charged by Hotel Express International for the total reservation price. Upon submitting your reservation request you authorize Hotel Express International to facilitate hotel reservations on your behalf, including making payment arrangements with hotel suppliers.

You acknowledge that a room is not booked before a valid voucher is showing on screen and sent to you by e-mail. If a room is sold out or hotel has technical problems and no voucher can be made, Hotel Express International is not responsible to provide a new room for the same cost. In rare cases hotel may have been overbooked, closed down etc. In such cases Hotel Express International will try to find you an alternative hotel or pay back the amount you have paid

You acknowledge that except as provided below with respect to tax obligations on the amounts we retain for their services, Hotel Express International does not collect taxes for remittance to applicable taxing authorities. The tax recovery charges on prepaid hotel transactions are a recovery of the estimated taxes (e.g. sales and use, occupancy, room tax, excise tax, value added tax, etc) that Hotel Express International pay to the hotel supplier for taxes due on the hotel's rental rate for the room. The hotel suppliers invoice Hotel Express International for tax amounts. The hotel suppliers are responsible for remitting applicable taxes to the applicable taxing jurisdictions. None of Hotel Express International act as co-vendors with the supplier with whom we book or reserve our customer's travel arrangements. Taxability and the appropriate tax rate vary greatly by location. The actual tax amounts paid by Hotel Express International to the hotel suppliers may vary from the tax recovery charge amounts, depending upon the rates, taxability, etc. in effect at the time of the actual use of the hotel by our customers. Service fees retained by Hotel Express International for their services vary based on the amount and type of hotel reservation.

All bookings are non refundable. If you need to cancel or change your prepaid hotel reservation you may contact us and we will see if it is possible. In many cases your cancellation reason may be something covered by your travel insurance

Currency Converter

For the currency convertor that is available on the Website, the following terms and conditions apply: Currency rates are based on various publicly available sources and should be used as guidelines only. Rates are not verified as accurate, and actual rates may vary. Currency quotes may not be updated every day. The arbitration shall be conducted in Kristiansand, Norway and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered into any court having jurisdiction thereof. Either you or us may seek any interim or preliminary relief from a court of competent jurisdiction in Kristiansand, Norway necessary to protect the rights or property of you and us pending the completion of arbitration. Each party shall bear one-half of the arbitration fees and costs.

General Terms

This Agreement shall be treated as though it were executed and performed in Kristiansand, Norway and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian Law without regard to conflict of law principles. In addition, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts. Any cause of action by you with respect to our Website or Service must be instituted within one (1) year after the cause of action arose or be forever waived and barred. Should any part of this Agreement be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed consistent with applicable law and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. Payments and refunds

On payments and refunds Hotel Express International is not liable and will not cover any added currency conversion costs or other bank or credit card fees.

Voucher and gift cards

Vouchers, gift cards and discount codes are only valid to use when booking hotel accommodation on our website and it is not valid for other services included, but not limited to car rental, concert tickets and airport lounges

Hotel Express International cannot be held liable to replace any lost or stolen vouchers or gift cards. Any voucher, gift card or discount code are one time use, unless otherwise specified and it may only be redeemed within the expiry period. You must redeem your vouchers, gift cards or discount code and place your booking within this period, but the check in dates can be after this period expires
